Live fiddle Making - Matthew Hannafin
Summerhall Café various times throughout the weekend non-ticketed A chance to see fiddle making in action - from carving scrolls, carving the outside and inside of the belly and backs of instruments, shaping necks and fitting necks to bodies. Mathew Hannafin will be at Summerhall and will provide some fiddles for you to try out. Adam Sutherland - The Errogie Collection: Volume One' Book Launch

Fiddle Playing Clinic with Marie Fielding
Fiddle Clinic room Sunday 3pm - 5pm non-ticketed An opportunity to have a "one to one" short session with fiddler, Marie Fielding. Suitable for any age or stage, the idea is to focus on one or two aspects of fiddle playing that you may want to improve on or simply chat about, getting fresh ideas to take home and work at. Anything from tuning the fiddle, playing in tune, tone, position work, bow hold, bow position, speed of bow, phrasing, reels, jigs, slow airs, playing from memory and so on. Or, simply play a short tune and Marie will offer areas to focus on. A relaxed, unique and individual experience.
